About

Welcome to a bit of my world. I am an Associate Professor of English at Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth where I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in rhetoric and writing, some of which you’ll find featured here. My research focuses on analyzing how early twentieth-century rhetorical theory emerges from and responds to specific cultural scenes. My passion is creating archival studies of the theory and methodologies of Kenneth Burke, the foremost American rhetorical theorist and brilliant cultural critic to boot. Currently, I am writing a critical companion to Burke’s tremendous 1935 Permanence and Change.

I am also creating an archive of my own–with the expert services of Teresa Ferguson at Legacy Archival Services–so take a peak at the Ann George Family Collection.

N.B. Site is under construction.
